The Traditional Irish Harp Tutors
4 Volumes of music to support the first four years of training with the Harbison Harp Method, (based on the average attainment of a 12 year old beginner). These volumes are instruction manuals for the student, the teacher and the parent to follow – which are also the basis for the E learning courses being ceveloped in 2017. Exams are offered at the completion of each Level with Certificates of Achievement and enamel pins showing the harper Denis Hempson and the level achieved. Read more in the syllabus on this website!

The Traditional Irish Harp Tutor for Junior Beginners
With fun pictures to colour and reinterpreted nursery rhymes (‘Old Mac Donald Had a Harp….’), this book for young beginners from age 6 – 11 is a preparatory course for the Harbison Harp Method, gently bringing the student into the main stream of the method.
The Traditional Irish Harp Tutor for Adult Learners
Specially for adults, this is a beginner’s course featuring favourite and well-known themes from folk music (My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean), some spiritual (Joy to the World) and light classical (Pachelbel’s Canon) as well as Irish pieces (Brian Boru’s March, The Mountains of Mourne, Raglan Road) to establish comfort with the instrument, secure technique, easy progress and pleasure for adult players
