One of the Harp Orchestra favourites to end or begin a concert – it is an exuberant, upbeat modern piece with compelling rhythms in 11/8 or 12/8 time.
Composed for the visit of American President Bill Clinton to Northern Ireland.
This tune was composed for the visit of the American President Bill Clinton to Northern Ireland in November 1994. The work was recorded in a version with uilleann pipes and other melody instruments on the Irish Harp Orchestra recordings “The Belfast Years” and “A Christmas Collection” but here it is in its most popular arrangement for harps only.
Its theme is ‘accommodation’ – marrying classical with traditional, a jig and a reel.
