Bright New Morning (Solo Harp),

Composed for the Belfast Harp Orchestra in 1995 for the visit of 

American president Bill Clinton who visited Belfast in our new-found ‘peace-time’. The core idea of the piece is ‘accommodation’ – 

representing historical and modern, traditional and classical, jig and reel (the timing is somewhere between the two!) – and is a celebration of our ‘Bright New Morning’ in Northern Ireland
