This strong majestic melody was composed by Thomas Connellan for Margaret, daughter of the 7th Earl of Clonricarde who became Lady Iveagh when she married in 1682.


Notated by Edward Bunting at the Belfast Harpers’ Assembly 1792. Published in in Edward Bunting’s Ancient Music of Ireland (arranged for piano) 1796.
