From my ‘Ulster Epic’ telling the story of the last battle of Allister McColcitto McDonnell – This was originally a harp piece that accompanied the recitation of the battle-story – that was carried by the uilleann pipers in the oral tradition to the last century when it found its way back to the harp. Allisdrums’ a truly vibrant jig-march that my harp orchestra performed for many years – and that we played with the Chieftains on the Grammy Award winning recording ‘The Celtic Harp’.
