Level 4 - Slip Jig

One of the best-loved recently evolved slip-jigs.  The first part is said to have been composed by the Dublin piper Tommy Potts which he added to an older tune called Bill Groggin’s Goat.  The most iconic recording that has influenced almost all arrangements of the tune afterwards was on the first Bothy Band album – as is this arrangement of mine.  However, so great is the tune that I have quite an adventure with it – using harmonics, LH counterpoints, syncopation….  Enjoy.
