Dedicated to my schoolmate Avril MacRory that I caught up with in London, 2008 after many years each of us ploughing our own furrows. Avril took on my management for some years – but the recession was a formidable adversary and while our work didn’t bear fruit, our friendship did and the adventure was fun. This tribute is to you Avril – and the second tune for Val, Avril’s husband, whose garden was always blooming.  (Originally the tunes had the titles: ‘Trip to Avril’ and ‘Val’s Garden of Goodies’).
